I was scrolling on Instagram when I came across a now-viral reel. Meet Kumar. A retired accountant, waging content-war on all finance influencers on the internet.
I was super hyped even though I know only a bit of personal finance. Until I saw some posts stating that he’s not an actual accountant, but an actor. There’s a website claiming to be the author of the editing and social engineering behind its virality. You can read more about it on thekumarmethod.co.
It’s gotten a lot of traction that there is also a fan-made website, thekumarmethod.in, stating otherwise that he’s an actor and actually a content creator.
While the recent teasers indicate another reel to be released on July 10, it’s uncertain if it’s going to be another hype video or finally an educational one.
Regardless, I was hyped. And then not so hyped, grounded by the reality that you shouldn’t believe anything you see on the internet. Even if the analytics show that a figure has millions of views and followers.
Ok, I’m semi-hyped. Let’s see what happens on 7/10.
