Mammoth Challenge Patch Holders

3D-printed frame and stand for Ice Age Trail Mammoth Challenge patches

Using Fusion360, I design and print a simple holder for the Ice Age Trail Mammoth Challenge patches recieved upon completion each year. The patch holder affixes to a simple stand for display on a shelf or desk. None of my hiking group members intended on sewing their patch, anyways.

2025 Design

For 2025, I chose to work smarter by downloading an image of the patch logo and using GIMP to export it as an SVG. I imported the SVG into Fusion360 and created the same border dimensions as the previous year’s. This year’s design omits the nail holder, as none of my friends utilized it.

As expected, the stand dimensions required some tweaking given the increased height and decreased width of the holder.

2024 Design

The 2024 design was traced and measured by hand. The back features slits for the stand as well as a recessed nail hook.

I made these available to my group in several colors - black, yellow, marble, teal, and white.
