There’s a polar bear In our Frigidaire— He likes it ’cause it’s cold in there. With his seat in the meat And his face in the fish And his big hairy paws In the buttery dish, He’s nibbling the noodles, He’s munching the rice, He’s slurping the soda, He’s licking the ice. nixpkgs-multiverse: every version that ever existed
A solution to one of the major problems of nixpkgs: that it provides no easy way to reference old versions of packages (closest thing was to use a search tool to find the most recent commit packaging a particular version, and pin that commit or copy the package definition from it)
Instead, nixpkgs-multiverse provides a flake input that allows searching for and fetching old versions, and tries to minimise the number of copies of nixpkgs fetched this way.
