Who am I
A guy who grew up with the Internet, and saw it going the wrong way. Born a long long time ago, I discovered Linux and especially Debian in 1996. Even though I tried many distributions, I always came back to Debian.
I spend a lot of time in terminals, I’m a big fan of tiling window managers and even if I tried ion3 and dwm, I came back to Awesome. It has been my window manager for over 10years.
In September 2018, I switched to Dvorak. I haven’t looked back.
In 2019, I started bullet journaling, and regular journaling where I log my days. I picked up the Leuchtturm1917 120g which are great.
That same year, I started blogging again after over 20 years of inactivity.
I have a /use page if you are interested about tools, and hardware I use daily.
Get in touch
Here is how I prefer to keep in touch:
- Signal - You can find me with the username
hyde.1337. - Mastodon - The lack of idiots compared to other platforms is significant.
- Matrix - I have an account, but I don’t really use it.
TelegramI don’t use it anymore.- I despise Twitter/X, Meta, and other big tech companies, so you won’t find me on their platforms.
Archived projects
I used to have a French website named Debianworld, and I was involved in a couple of projects:
I used to be a translator for:
- Debian weekly news
- Securing Debian manual
- Advanced Bash scripting guide
Also, a Debian maintainer for:
- Perl modules
- A steganography tool, Hydan
And, I used to maintain a French mailing list about shell scripting.
Thanks …
… for checking out my blog!
