Seriously helpful!
In a great continuation of the series, this book gets to the important parts fast for beginners and experts alike. While not only explaining what's going on with image io behind the scenes, the book covers how to optimize reading and writing large images, something that is crucial in this Retina-image-sized world we are in.
Can't wait for the next book as each one of these further my knowledge and make me a little bit stronger of a iOS dev.
Too little information
I simply can't recommend "All The Image IO You Need to Know" because it is too short and contains too little information for the money. What it does cover, it covers very well. For the money, I would have expected the author to include more ways to manipulate images besides just explaining how to make thumbnails and save them to disk.
As an aside, the author's "All the C You Need to Know" is quite good and worth the money, which is why I bought this book without a thought.
