Research Lead at OpenAI
I am a Research Lead at OpenAI working on advancing the frontier of large language models. I earned my PhD in Computer Science from MIT under the supervision of Aleksander Madry, focusing on building the foundations of robust and reliable machine learning systems to enable their safe and responsible real-world deployment.
Prior to MIT, I spent two years at Microsoft Research—first as an AI Resident, then as a Research Engineer—working on robustness in deep learning. Earlier, I was an intern at Uber ATG working on autonomous driving.
I hold an M.S. in Robotics from the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, and a dual degree in Mathematics (B.S.) and Mechanical Engineering (B.E.) from the American University of Beirut.
