the client does that already at runtime (Download/Upload rate) and that data could get saved into the config file for example every 5 minutes.

in the usage statistic this would be global data (not per node) and can get displayed in very huge font-size.
also there could be a graph in relation to time. (-> people are syncing most data on tuesday?)

if this idea gets approved i can consider how that can look.

is that not very useful data (but nice to know) worth the disk io (client writing to disk) or does the client that already? then this should get combined.
