Hi there. I'm Mauri ๐
What do I do?
๐ป Software engineer coding professionally since 2013. By day I'm a Senior Mobile Engineer at Bitso; by night I'm chasing a AI masters degree at ORT university (Montevideo) โ putting python AI fluency into real practice with Cursor and Claude Code ๐๐ค. I care about fullstack mobile development that lasts: clean architecture, automated testing, and dependencies you actually control.
On my spare time I like blogging, running, reading (A LOT) and cooking ๐จ๐ฝโ๐ณ
Tech I work with
- Swift: native iOS development and all Apple related ecosystem. My strong suite ๐ฑ
- Java: a bit of BE development I've been recently dipping my toe recently โ๏ธ
- Kotlin: I've been dipping my toes in it since 2025. It was only natural to go there after so many years deep into iOS
- Automation: Maestro is my go-to for E2E hands-on integration test suite
- CI: Github actions all the way ๐
- AI: Cursor & Claude code are my partners in crime here ๐ฆพ
๐ฒ My apps
- MatchWords: use your wit to assemble words before time runs out!
- MyStickers: never lose track of your missing stickers again!
๐งช POCs
๐ Tools
- MauriUtils: A set of canned helpers for Swift's rapid development and testing
- MauriNet: Wrapper for Swift's network handling
- MauriKit: Helpers and wrappers for code only UI iOS development in Swift
- NotificationsEngine: Notifications wrapper to preserve your codebase dependency free from 3rd-party vendors.
- TrackingEngine: Tracking wrapper to preserve your codebase dependency free from 3rd-party vendors.
