In d9390f6 I added Mastodon.delete_post to remove posts as stories are deleted. I tested it in the console and it gets back a 200 OK with the post metadata which the API documents as success, but the status isn’t actually deleted.

If you want to take on this bug, follow the steps in README.md to set up a mastodon account and save its credentials. (If the instructions are unclear, please comment here or open a PR!)

I am recording this so I don’t forget it, but it’s pretty low-priority. Also in that commit I did some lingering updates from the recent move to Rails credentials. Nobody reported that the bot hasn’t posted a story for two weeks. I’ve personally gotten the impression that Bluesky has won the Twitter succession contest and I guess this is further confirmation, so #1248 is higher-priority.
