Kevin Korfmann
I'm a computational population geneticist. I work on inference and simulation, with a particular interest in simulation-based inference and deep learning.
Most of what I build starts as a tool I want for my own research. Some of it turns into software; some of it turns into notes and guides.
Research software
- cxt — coalescent translation
- fastcxt — faster tools for coalescent translation
- fastrho — fine-scale recombination maps from population genotypes
- ancify — ancestral allele polarization
- pysinger — a Python implementation of SINGER
Notes and guides
- FLI — a friendly guide to likelihood-based inference
- watchgen — The Watchmaker's Guide to Population Genetics
- seqtec — notes on sequencing technologies
Simulation catalogs
- stdvoidsim — standard population genetic models
- stdferdowsim and stdgrimmsim — experimental
stdpopsimfork catalogs
