Currently, I'm working on the 2023 Advent of Code in my attempt to learn the Rust programming language.

To learn new skills and play with fun tools, I have worked on a variety of personal side-projects including

building a web API, web interface, and SwiftBar plugin for tracking my coffee consumption,
a comparison of ML methods for summarizing scientific articles,
experimenting with and packaging the 'tumoroscope' model in PyMC (a probabilistic programming language in Python for building Bayesian models and performing MCMC),
and a R package 'mustashe' for intelligently caching computed results.

I've also made small contributions to other projects such as snakemake and the Fig autocomplete repository.
