Describe the bug

When exporting a image to JPEG XL format (10-bit, HLG Rec2020 RGB color space), the image does not include any metadata (EXIF data for example).
I have tried enabling all the boxes in the export preferences.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Switch to the Darktable tab
  2. Develop an image (scene-referred (sigmoid) workflow used)
  3. Open the export tab on the left
  4. Select JPEG XL format and select 10-bit as bit width
  5. Open export preferences and tick all the metadata boxes (optional step)
  6. Press the export button
  7. Open the resulting image with an external software (loupe image viewer used)
  8. There is no metadata present

Expected behavior

darktable should include the metadata when exporting a JXL image.
