This event was lots of fun. Salisbury Cathedral is an impressive sight at any time, but when it’s used a projection screen it becomes an impressive sight of quite a different sort.
Yes it’s in a cathedral, but the focus was not religion. Much more about science, technology and the environment – if an hour of shimmering colourful lights can be said to be “about” anything.
This was probably the biggest crowd I’ve been in since the start of the pandemic, but it felt ok, mostly because cathedrals are generally quite well ventilated spaces. A good evening out.
