March

Got a little pre-occupied with April, which made me miss writing March in good time. These monthly reviews are really challenge for me, more than I imagined. I am really happy when I am doing them, but I think I put maybe a little too much into them? I am not sure!

activities

Together with a few friends we went to Danish Coffee Festival, went there last year. It is a nice experience and totally worth the price. I was really trying to find decaf this time, but man, not a single one was sold from what I could see?! There was a turkish stand which was SO nice to get! Really missed it.

Since forever I wanted to go to CPH:DOX but I always forget about it. I see the banners everywhere around town only for me to be "oh it is already over?!" - but this time I managed!!!

watched:

  • The wolves always come at night (2024) - Stunning visuals set in Mongolia. Following a family who are trying to survive under the conditions of the desertification of their land - forcing them to move on.
  • The Shards (2024) - About Masha who are preparing to leave russia. You follow her perspective in her life Spring 2022 in Russia. It is incredible view punk/underground scene she is living in, interactions with her friends, activism and life in russia. While it might not cover a broad scene, it felt intimate and was so mixed to see the stoic people simple trying to be.

Had an incredible wine and cheese night with my close buddies. Was really just a indulgent night! We all brought one wine, some also brought cheese and our host had made a sheet for writing down the wines, voting on them and then we just chatted and ate great food. Was a long time since I had also been drinking alchohol, but this just felt very right way to enjoy it. Best night in a long time!

We still taking care of dogs here and there, always love it :)

work

We released Trailmakers update 2.0. What a journey to put it shortly!

A lot of my energy was spent on hanging around Discord - I did get quite burned out on it so I ended up doing a "Discord Vacation" for some time to get back on my feet.

With that said, I got to spent some time doing a few blueprints that I am quite happy with! I discovered the unofficial LEGO technic guide which has a whole bunch of super inspiring mechanics. Had a very pleasant moment with one of the veteran programmers, nerding about potentially missing blocks to fulfill some potential structural mechanics.

We also got visited by Scrapman and Yzuei at the office. Was very odd experience. Just para-social relationships kicking in - having watched people for such a long time, it is like their voice is much more dominant in videos. Seeing them in real life is just a whole different thing. Both amazing people and had a great time bouldering again together with Scrapman.

watching

I totally binge-watched Pantheon Season 2 in 4-5 days. Was an absolutely stunning series. The end episode is absolutely mindbogglingly cool. Incredible execution.

built

Start of next month we are getting a roomie; so I have been doing the last bits of preparation with fixing up the room that they will be moving in to.

Had to redo my desk as it is frankly too big for the new room, so cut the depth and width down. It still very nice though! Just solid wood so felt painful at first.
