birthday

Birthday month! Turning 33.. that's crazy yo.. Birthdays is always a great reminder for me to reflect on self-love and appreciating what's around me. I am full steam ahead in my career life and working on building up capital I guess? Last part feels very unnatural but certainly it unlocks some new things in my life, which I am grateful for.

I have had this dream of hosting a birthday party at Ungdomsøen for two years now. And yet again I could't find the time to make it happen. But I wish for myself that I would do it. Much like any social event, I tend to overcomplicate and overscope them which ends up overwhelming me. I understand the cycle - hopefully I can break it later. I conform myself with the thought that it doesn't have to be ON my birthday.

This time was celebrated with very-very nice Ramen at Sanku Maots'ai Copenhagen - 三顾冒菜. Straight up 10/10 experience, loved it and I will return soon!

apartment

We have been awaiting a new shelve system for our entrance. It is quite large and is one of those you place them and preferable don't move them afterwards.

In preparation I had the chance to install a new carpet in our entrance to help with dirt. Our non-oiled floor REALLY likes to get dirty, so installing a carpet in the entrance will help a lot with that.

phone

New phone arrived. It is a Duoqin F21 pro (white) with 32GB storage. Cost around 730 DKK/112 USD. Installed some sketchy custom rom. New T9 virtual keyboard installed. Removed web browser and any sign of an app store and installed Signal, Komoot, Organic Maps, and Rejseplanen.. That's about it?

It works quite fantastic. It is VERY boring and a little annoying to write on, but it does it well. Battery lasts two days. Size is great and camera is... functional haha. But it works good enough for those small snippets into life when sharing on messages.

But yeah, literally cured any phone addiction I would have left and great step into tackling my digital hygiene.

biking

It is a little funny that the last few months I have had some kind of "bike" section in those journals. Because it is simple true. There is A LOT of bike stuff in my life!

I went to a friends place this month. It was a 60-ish km ride and since it was their birthday, I had decided to buy a bunch of plants for their on-going tiny house project. I borrowed a cargo bike from our bikelibrary at Bicycle Innovation Lab. Heavy duty two-wheeler that a front rack. Pretty fast, medium weight and GREAT looking.

I also when our on a little bike tour around Dragør with a friend from bikelab. Weather was so good and it is always fun going with a person I haven't driven with before. o

yearly theme

short version: not great, but also not terrible.

The phone has been great direction of what I am trying to archive. I always found bringing my smartphone with me felt like a little chore. They feel demanding and attentive. And they always there in the pocket. This phone I don't feel any of this. It is boring, it barely does anything - but it can do the things I really need on the go. Calls, messages and and navigation.

Facebook and Instagram has grown due to me helping a little with SoMe for our bikelab. It is a little annoying but I'll see if I can only have it running on my laptop. Then it has its "place" there which would be perfect.

I have decided to switch to Tuta email when it comes to it. I think I am still far away from being able to delete my Google Email. But I have been researching them for some time and I quite like their product.

One of the last small details that I have payed attention to is how I handle my files. I have had a great few months with the previous phone.. I did photos on my handheld camera.. And then I would transfer them to my PC for filtering+minor editing. And from there I had little to no system. Photos is something that will always grown for me so I really gotta find a system for it.

other

FINALLY went to bikewars. It is pretty much double-decker bikes that are welded together my punk mechanics and then they joust. Shit is crayo. Will join next year.
