Hiya!

The name is Alexia. My legal name is still a different one, if you need that feel free to reach out. I live in Germany and am currently 20 years old.

I work in my free time on web design, community moderation, protocol specifications, community organization and software architecture. Throw in a dabble of devops and sysadmin in there too.

For all the above, I've unfortunately not been able to gather professional experience yet, but I can give a non-exhaustive list of projects that I've worked on non-professinally or have founded myself. In no particular order:

• The Starlight Network
  A technology and art collective founded by me and a friend. We make small, focused software that is extensible and do their job well, and encourage a sustainable and people-focused way to engage with the internet. I am also the sysadmin of the infrastructure and moderate our IRC.
• Wafrn
  A tumblr-inspired social media site that federates over ActivityPub (vaguely mastodon-flavored) and ATProto (using bsky's lexicon). ~900 MAU from the ground up with no investors, just love and care for the community.
• Polyphony
  An early WIP Discord-inspired instant messenger, with a custom identity federation protocol under the hood. Based on existing standards like OIDC and x.509. Standard APIs and common protocols.

This list may be expanded in the future.

There's also some things I do that don't neatly fit into the above, like advocacy work for decentralized technology, drive-by contributions to matrix, social media management and many more things that would be too much to list here.

In the past I've also volunteered at DasInkult for several years before a leadership change. There I've gotten experience working with children and adolescents from several cultures, managing several systems at once and configuring them automatically, running Linux under the hood.

As per education, I've made it up to FORQ, or Fachoberschulreife mit Qualifikation with decent grades across the board. Again, contact for more information if required.
