| Description |
English: This work illustrates the effect of temperature change on metal bars with a different thermal expansion and the effect of the same temperature change to a bimetallic strip. As temperature increases the different metal bars expand at different rates. When attached to each other in the bimetallic strip these different rates of expansion cause a bending of the strip. The effect is inverse when the temperature decreases. |
