Preview is the default application in MacOS to view images and PDF files.
Highlight: Choose View -> Show Markup toolbar
so that it is visible at the top. Mark the lines with the mouse cursor
and choose the Highlight button in the Markup toolbar. Keyboard
shortcut is to mark the lines and press
control command h.
Fill forms: PDF files with text fields can automatically by filled in. For PDF files with no text entry fields, click the Form Fill button and Preview tries to detect all the text areas and puts entry boxes there so you can type in text. If you need a text box, choose Markup, click the Text button to add a box wherever you wish.
Change text properties: To change the font size or type for the text you entered in text box - select the text, choose the Markup button and then choose the font size/type.
Reorder pages: Choose View -> Thumbnails so they are visible in the sidebar on the left. Drag the thumbnails to reorder.
Delete pages: Choose View -> Thumbnails so they are visible in the sidebar on the left. Click on the thumbnail for the page you want to delete. Choose Edit -> Delete. Save the file.
Insert pages: Choose View -> Thumbnails so they are visible in the sidebar on the left. Open Finder to the directory which has the PDF file with the page(s) you want to insert. Drag that PDF file into the Thumbnails sidebar, choosing between the pages where you want it to be inserted.
