it eats me
🌱 This post is in the growth phase. It may still be useful as it grows up.
Watches, power tools, keyboard layouts, microphones, PC builds.
When I find a new thing, it eats me.
Not casually.
Not “oh I picked up a hobby.”
I mean consumed.
Research phase. Buying phase. Configuring phase.
Then the plateau where it becomes just another thing in the garage.
I know this about myself.
I’ve known it for twenty years.
And I still can’t tell whether the consumption is the learning or if it’s avoidance dressed up as productivity.
Probably both.
The honest version of “I’m a maker” is: I’m consumed first, maker second.
The making only happens after the obsession cools to a temperature I can hold.
(on how this applies to Pi and every tool before it)
