NostrMail is a cross-platform, end-to-end encrypted email client that bridges Nostr and traditional email protocols. It avoids the pitfalls of PGP by using Nostr for key discovery, it works with existing email providers like Gmail and uses wordlist encoding (e.g., BIP39) so ciphertext and signatures remain valid under forwarding. NostrMail is open source, cross-platform, and available now on the Zapstore.
This talk explores the concept of Hashrate Accounting and its potential to enhance Bitcoin privacy and expand mining operations. Beginning with an examination of the Bitcoin mining network's massive scale (600 exahashes/second), we'll discuss how hashrate marketplaces function and why miners sell their computational power. The presentation explains the role of hashrate proxies in facilitating forward privacy on-chain. Finally, we'll explain how Rigly brokers hashrate between miners and retail customers, and how we are facilitating the expansion of mining operations in areas with stranded energy.
NostrMail is a simple email client that pairs Nostr DMs with encrypted emails, thereby providing a mechanism for long-form content, file sharing and archival storage. We'll demo our proof of concept running in docker, discuss our technical implementation, NIP and planned features, including 2-factor authentication, key rotation, and multi-party conversations.
