Forums, remember them?
I recently signed up to a new forum. Yes, you read that right. Someone I met recently online took a break from social media and focused on blogging. He created a forum soon afterwards for a group of us to chat about interesting topics and share our day.
I'm a bit surprised how fast it grew. More individuals signed up and the forum is very active. It brings back memories of the past when forums used to be as popular as social media. There is no algorithm or a focus on negativity to keep users engaged. It also is a big change from the quick posts and doom scrolling. You never know what will trigger you on social media.
Spending my time less online on social media and directing it towards blogging and this new forum has been a great change for me. Add my RSS reading and I've created a new online experience. The rest of the day, I go touch grass! 🙂
