BLACK AND WHITE TOMORROW (today?)
so I guess doing a new Pokemovie post is appropriate! Although I actually meant to do this yesterday but things came up, oh well.
ANYWAY I'm almost positive this movie only came out on DVD, and it sort of bridges the gap between the older generations of Red/Blue and Gold/Silver, and the newer generations of Ruby/Sapphire. Also one of the last movies to have Ash, Brock and Misty all together as a team, and wearing their old outfits. ENJOY THEM WHILE THEY HAVE THEM
It's also somewhat unique in that it's one of the very few Pokemon things that has a permanent death. There's no fakeouts like in Mewtwo Strikes Back or A Timeless Encounter - someone dies for real. BUT WHO COULD IT BE?
I always liked this one. It has a neat setting and is about siblings, which is something that I've always had a big weakness for. I got this one as a bootleg off Ebay many many years ago, along with the Celebi one, and as it turns out, the translation in this one is pretty wonky as well. :O Not quiiite as bad as the Celebi movie, but worse than I remembered, haha. SO IF YOU LIKE BAD TRANSLATIONS WELL COME ON DOWN
Like most Pokemovies, I've never seen the dub for this one, so I can't compare them. But I heard that the dub for this movie cut and changed the most stuff as compared to the others. :O

After the Porygon seizure episode, it's very rare to see Porygon in any animated episode or movie.
This may be the first time they really start doing this, but this movie has a fairly longish sequence recapping the animated series, I guess in case you have no idea what it is you're watching for some reason.

And the opening song for this movie is Mezase Pokemon Master 2002! Unlike the previous movie opening, Mezase Pokemon Master 2001, this version actually remixes the original theme in a unique way that fits the setting for this movie. :D It's a really fun, different take on the original opening theme, and I love it to death. I ASSOCIATE IT VERY STRONGLY WITH THE THIRD GENERATION OF GAMES AS A RESULT
