Tiziana's Talk
Data as a Sonic Act
What if listening is our most radical design tool? In this keynote, data artist Tiziana Alocci reflects on the act of listening as a way of intervening in or interacting with the world鈥攁n approach that transforms data into poetic soundscapes and makes the invisible visible. From her immersive installation Frequencies of Belonging dominating the port of Genoa to the bespoke soundscape created for Gucci, Alocci explores how sound, memory, and space can shape new forms of storytelling, even when data-driven. Guided by the philosophy of Gaston Bachelard and the poetics of space, she shares how numbers can become sound, sound can become image, and listening can become a new way of seeing.
