How do we engage different processes in our lives? Our spiritual formation is strongly influenced by our relationship with our Creator.

God has a vested interest in each person’s choices and the things that occupy our time and interest. How do we know this? The inspired word of God, The Bible, reveals past, present and future interactions and relationships between God and man.

“But the Lord God called to the man, “where are you?” Genesis 3:9

This question was asked to address where Adam was physically, mentally, emotionally and, most importantly, spiritually. The All-knowing God had the answer. This question was asked for Adam’s sake and it can be aptly posed as a question to everyone today!

When we engage the word of God we can find ourselves in the pages. We have the opportunity to gain insight through the word of God as God’s Holy Spirit leads us into all truth.

Prayer and meditation sets the stage for engagement with the Lord. Some people actually receive audible direction, however, most receive thoughts and ideas that they realize have been provided by the Spirit of God.

“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against thee.” Psalm 119:11.

I had a Bible that was collecting dust in my room until the day I made the decision to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Soon after I began to read scriptures and my understanding was strengthened by God’s Holy Spirit.

My relationship with God was elevated by His Holy Spirit coming into my heart and mind. I cannot gain true and meaningful understanding and revelation without the gift of God’s Holy Spirit.

God’s Holy Spirit was sent as a gift after the passionate death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ. This gift is available to everyone that invites the Lord Jesus Christ into their hearts and minds.

“Jesus answered “If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever the Spirit of truth.” “John 14:15 (NIV)

As we search for God, we will find ourselves.
