The last few years have felt like we are constantly lurching from one crisis to another.

Whether that’s the cost-of-living crisis, climate change, rising insurance premiums, food security, global conflict. All of these issues are often talked about as though they’re separate - but what if they’re not?

That’s the idea behind The Reality of Everything symposium, a sold-out event bringing together experts to discuss what they call the polycrisis and what this means for Aotearoa.

Dr Catherine Knight is an award-winning environmental historian working in public policy and one of the organisers of the symposium, and she joins Susana Lei’ataua.

Listen to the interview at this link (14 minutes).

To find out more about the Symposium, go to the Reality of Everything website.
