Democracy must be felt, not just promised.
This is the fifth pillar of an Advanced Society: Democracy That Belongs to the People.
I have spent years organizing voters who were told their voices did not matter. Young people. Working families. Communities treated as an afterthought.
And I have seen what happens when those same communities are respected and invested in.
We do not get apathy. We get power.
An Advanced Society protects voting rights and fair representation. It prioritizes transparency and accountability. It elevates people-powered movements over corporate control.
A democracy captured by wealth is not advanced. It is fragile.
Democracy is strongest when it belongs to everyone.
When was the first time you felt your voice truly mattered?
