Antidote exists to invest in and support entrepreneurship at the earliest stage in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Founded in London and backed by Fulgur Ventures and Initial Capital, Antidote is an incubator—a physical, tangible, brick-and-mortar home for Bitcoin founders who want to build real businesses, not pump narratives. The thesis is deceptively simple and, in this industry, almost radical: find smart people with genuine conviction, give them capital ($50k on day one), office space, legal support, a battle-tested curriculum, access to a network of investors and operators who actually know what they’re doing, and then (here’s the revolutionary part) get out of the way and let them build. Six months of acceleration. A demo day in front of serious VCs. A direct path to a Seed round.
Our first cohort is already in the building (quite literally):
Portal, building privacy-first digital identity without the KYC surveillance nightmare
Rexmo, constructing the financial stack for sovereign individuals who refuse to choose between hard money and the modern world
Evoke, solving Bitcoin inheritance for high-net-worth individuals and the advisers who serve them.
Three companies. Three founders who chose substance over spectacle. We are, as they say, cooking.
Because we are constitutionally incapable of sitting still, we also have two announcements to share:
Applications for the September cohort are open! We are looking for founders building on Bitcoin across payments, privacy, AI, infrastructure, and financial services. If you have the conviction and the talent, we would very much like to hear from you. Apply at antidotebtc.com/founder-application
The Antidote Podcast is here! Recorded in our Lovelace studio in London, this is where we sit down with the founders, investors, and policymakers shaping what Bitcoin can become. Expect realistic conversations, market views, strong opinions and a healthy does of British giggles. Listen to the first episode here.
This Substack will be the home for essays, founder stories, arguments we think the industry needs to have but keeps avoiding, and perspectives from inside Antidote. Consider it a cure to so many of our ailments.
We have work to do. Come do it with us.
