Since the onslaught of smoke pouring into Minnesota, Wisconsin, and stretching all the way to the northeast at this time, I’ve had several discussions with friends about getting through it. Gotta say that for me the best thing has been having good indoor air filters. I have three in my small house, which is more than should be needed, but I’m running them all and they work. When I have shared this with friends, they’ve asked, “Which ones do you use?” I figured others might wonder, so I am sending them to everyone. I bought mine on Amazon. Here are links to the filter machine itself, and then to replacement filters.
I am very noise sensitive, even disliking the sound of fans during the heat waves. When these are on the lowest setting, they are very quiet. Not silent, but low noise. At higher settings, they sound more like fans running.
But I’ll tell you what… it is WAY different in my house than it is outside. I can breathe. My eyes are not watering. No coughing or sore throat. For me, it’s worth it. Hope this helps.
