Good now, beautiful soul.
If you’ve ever walked away from an offering, conversation, or even a performance thinking “I could’ve done better,” you’re not alone.
I gave a Human Design workshop not too long ago. And truthfully? I didn’t feel like I was at my best. I had been doing energy work all day, and by the time I got to my own session, my brain was fried. The words weren’t wording. I felt like I wasn’t quite reaching people the way I hoped.
And if you’ve ever poured your heart into something and still felt like you fell short…
I see you.
But here’s the reframe I had to come back to:
Service doesn’t require perfection. It asks for presence.
I reminded myself of the energy I did bring. Of the hours of energy clearing I’d done for others that day. And most importantly, the love that still made it through the fog of exhaustion.
I reminded myself that this Now moment—right here, right now—is not bound to the moment before or the coming moments.
A Reframe Invitation for you (if my experience resonates):
Instead of “Did I do it the way I expected myself to?”, try asking:
“Did I offer what I had with love?”
“Can I love the version of me who tried?”
You are allowed to learn from experience without punishing yourself for being human in the process. Let that sink in for a moment.
What Helped Me Shift:
Was the card we pulled the next morning in meditation. Yes, I went to bed that evening still thinking about what I wish I had done better or instead. Wishing I had known to take into account that doing energy work all day and then trying to offer a workshop was probably not the best route to take. I mentioned this card in another post before, it was a potent message ha! It read:
“Every word, deed and intention creates a permanent record. Every thought is known and recorded forever… Everyone’s life is accountable to the universe.”
It reminded me that life gave me an opportunity to give myself some grace and compassion even though I didn’t feel like I showed up the way I normally do. It also reminded me that what’s even more important is the energy that I did bring to the session.. I brought it in love, even though I wished I’d brought more clarity or fire.
Once the fog lifted and the card gave me a tiny nudge, I ended up offering the guests a special reflection booklet for their chart as a follow-up with appreciation for the grace I felt like they were giving me is. What I was proud of was that I did it, not out of guilt but from love. From overflow that I was renewed with after a night’s of sleep.
I learned something about myself. I chose to respond—not react.
A Journal Prompt (if you feel called):
What part of me is asking for grace?
Optional Practice: The Love Debrief
After a moment that didn’t go as planned, sit quietly and ask yourself:
What was beautiful about how I showed up?
What can I honor in myself right now?
What would Love say to me about this?
A Final Whisper:
You’re not here to be flawless. You’re here to be real.
To show up, learn, grow, and to love yourself through it all.
With gentleness and deep respect,
Nicole
