Stocking up on travel-size favorites on the last day of the Sephora sale.

Packing for a trip is usually pretty easy for me. Selecting the clothes and shoes, putting together outfits, deciding how best to fit it all in a suitcase are processes I'm very comfortable with. The dread for me comes down to what's in my toiletry bag. I don't like taking full-size products and would rather not transfer liquids into smaller containers. Even with a checked bag, I still prefer mini-size products on the road. I'm already thinking ahead to the next couple of trips and shopping the Sephora sale specifically for travel-size makeup and hair care favorites.

BEAUTY ON THE GO products here. Dress available at Michael Nusskern; Chanel sandals; Bottega Veneta bag; White & Warren cashmere wrap

Here’s what’s in my cart:

HAIR:

  • I've been using a few K18 products for the last month and love the results. I don't want to travel without these: a post-shampoo leave-in mask to keep hair looking healthy, plus a spray for heat protection.

  • Styling musts from Chris McMillan include a smoothing blow-dry spray (fights frizz), and a texture mist for adding volume and refreshing styles. They’re also available as a set. I use this styling balm on the ends if they’re out of control, or if I’m wearing my hair back off my face, it creates definition and lift. I follow with the hairspray, which is good for adding buildable hold without dryness. I’ve only seen the mini-size balm in this four-piece set, which fortunately includes all of these products.

  • A travel size hairbrush, blowdryer, straightener, or any styling tools (I just bought this mini) are small investment buys that payoff when you need them.

MAKEUP:

  • Hourglass iconic concealer in a convenient mini-size…under eyes, in corners, any redness or sun spots all disappear.

  • Rhode pocket blush in Tan Line or Piggy. I’ll also use a dab on my lips.

  • Natasha Denona essential eyeshadow compact. Everything I need to soften a liner, highlight corners and add detail to my eyes.

  • ILIA lengthening mascara. The best.

  • Givenchy pressed blurring and setting powder to soften shine.

  • ILIA mini lip crayon, mascara and cheek set. A perfect trio.

I've already ordered or purchased in store most of these items, but if you're considering stocking up too, the Sephora sale ends Monday, 4/20.
