There’s nothing I hate more than wasting paint. Why are these little tubes of gouache so damn pricey! I typically like using regular gouache, since I can use up my leftover palette to infinity, but the trouble comes with ACRYLA GOUCHE that dries up the moment you look away.
Today, I resolve that by making TWO paintings at the same time.
One is a main painting
The other uses up any remaining paint in a lovely efficient way.

This technique actually forms the basis of how I do a lot of my picture book painting; something working on four pages at the same time!
