An investigation into surveillance tracking systems turned dark and more sinister when your insurance company showed up in the research.

If you have ever filed an insurance claim, you know what a nightmare it can be. Insurance companies are notorious for not wanting to pay off claims. What if I told you the surveillance infrastructure, we’re currently up in arms about because these cameras are popping up in playgrounds, nature trails, etc. is also going to be used heavily to spy on you at every turn in an effort to deny your claim? What most don’t realize is that this has already been in play with claims like workman’s comp claims. In fact, many times people are warned when they make a claim that they will most likely have investigators checking up on them, to prove they aren’t really injured so they don’t have to pay a claim. What I found when I started writing this piece which originally started as a deeper dive into Flock and Axon, and that tracking system quickly turned into the fuller picture of how this system will utilized to deny your automobile crash claim, your health insurance claims and everything in between if they choose. Because they can. They will have access to watch you and your activities 24/7/365. This was never about our safety.
