We Have a Favor to Ask

We have a favor to ask of every person reading these words.

Whether you believe in God, have drifted away from your faith, or have never given Jesus Christ a second thought, we ask that you read this with an open heart.

The times we are living in feel profoundly biblical. Every day seems to bring another event that causes people to stop and wonder if humanity is approaching a pivotal moment in history. None of us knows the day or the hour, but Scripture reminds us to watch, to be ready, and to examine our hearts.

We may not know many of you personally, but we do know this: every one of us was created in the image of God. That makes us neighbors in this life and, through Christ, brothers and sisters who were all offered the same invitation of grace.

If judgment is drawing near, won’t you reach out to Him?

Won’t you answer His call?

God has never stopped calling His children home. Sometimes He speaks through joy. Sometimes through hardship. Sometimes through a quiet whisper that reaches the heart when the world grows silent. If these words have found you today, perhaps this is your moment to pause and listen.

The old hymn says it beautifully:

“Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, calling for you and for me.”

We believe there is purpose in every encounter. Whether you call it providence, divine appointment, or simply God’s timing, perhaps you are reading these words for a reason.

Repentance costs you nothing.

The gift of God’s grace cannot be purchased. Jesus already paid that price on the cross.

But Scripture also teaches that our response to that gift matters. We each must decide whether to receive it or reject it.

If you do not know Jesus, seek Him.

If you think your sins are too great to be forgiven, you are mistaken. Throughout the Gospels we see Jesus extending mercy to those society had written off. No life is beyond His reach for the one who turns to Him in sincere repentance and faith.

Remember the two men crucified beside Jesus. Both were guilty. One mocked Him until the end. The other humbled himself and simply asked, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”

Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in paradise.”

One cross.

Two sinners.

Two eternal destinies.

The difference was not the size of their sins. It was whether they turned to Christ.

Please, do not let pride, doubt, fear, or the belief that you somehow know better keep you from seeking the One who gave His life for you. None of us is promised tomorrow.

Open a Bible.

Pray honestly, even if you do not know what to say.

Ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you. Ask Him to forgive your sins. Ask Him to guide your life.

You may be amazed by the peace, hope, and transformation you discover when you sincerely seek Him.

This is not written to condemn you.

It is written because we care.

We love you.

More importantly, Jesus loves you with a love that led Him to the cross so that you might have eternal life.

If there is even the slightest chance that these words are the invitation your heart has been waiting for, don’t ignore them.
