No Kings Day

While I wasn’t at any protests, I was there to document the one in Saco, Maine, where we live. I’m not good with crowds, or large groups of people, being so claustrophobic, so I defer to the position of Witness and take photos and video. Organized by the York County Democratic Committee, this protest was slated for 10 am to noon at Rte 1 and Cascade St., on the way into downtown Saco. I only saw two cop cars there and one idiot trumper flying his flag from the pickup truck, which everyone ignored.

Special thanks to my friend #CherieHacker, who allowed me to take her photo of her painted poster, which was based on an etching by #MalaquiasMontoya, who was one of her professors in art school, and make a print for it that hubby attached to some board and made himself a handle.

Now… if only our elected representatives and senators would DO something about the situation. Keep on calling them, please. Democracy is at stake!

And in the art world that I revolve around… only two more weeks to see the “Washed Away” show at the Portland Public Library, here in Maine. It comes down on the 22nd of this month.
