Jeannie entered the downstairs forensics lab where Amanda was working with Paco. Jon, who hadn’t been in since the first day was in a lab coat, bent over the butterfly dress.
“Hi Jon — isn’t that your name? Wow. Where have you been?” Jeannie teased.
“I’m part-time. Also, I knew Amanda could handle everything. I’m just giving her findings a final look-see.”
“It’s DNA day. Jon is getting his masters in forensics at Davis — “ Amanda added, barely looking up from some amorphous rubber forms on her tabletop. “We don’t think there’s any DNA on the dress, but lifting from the feathers is good practice. Meanwhile I get the rubber masks.” Jeannie realized she was going over the rubber wolf masks that had been turned inside out.
“Wow — cool.” Jeannie stared at the tip of Jon’s swab moving almost imperceptibly over the bodice of the dress. “That sounds…focused.” She moved next to Paco who was typing on a laptop.
“You’re back — what happened?” Paco’s face held a slight smile. “Was it her?”
“Yes it was.” Jeannie’s felt strange. She was still processing the meeting with the Parisi kids — Angela was at turns both vicious and vulnerable, while Vin was barely there at all. “It was — it was a lot.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean…Raj asked most of the questions, really. I barely understood what they were talking about some times, but it was definitely her. I let Mark and Raj handle it — I just tried to stay out of the way.”
“Is Mark charging her?”
“He and Raj are reviewing the Pr3pSF record from the beginning, but she didn’t do any of the bullying or anything herself. She could get a charge for hosting the video, maybe? But, she wasn’t the one who posted it so I’m not sure how that works.”
“So what happens now?”
“Well, she’s promised to shut it down today. So we’ll see what happens. What are you up to?”
“Making an evidence map for you — here I’ll show you.”

“Pr3pSF is dark.” Raj pushed his chair back from the table. “She did it.”
“Good. We’ll go by the Parisi house for the hard drive before we head to Holy Heart.” Mark said from the bulletin board. “You need to start your write-up for the Grand Jury — put it in the simplest terms so they understand it. If it makes perfect sense to you, stop and rewrite for normal people.”
“Got it.”
Mark was rearranging the board Jeannie had assembled in the morning, moving the photos around and listing data points underneath each of them.
Under a photo of Dash Reilly he wrote:
- member of “Wolfpack”
- took photo of Jen Tyson giving Alexa dosed Tito’s; sent to Tally Briggs
- was rejected by Alexa at Lake Tahoe
- concern she would get him, Seb, Tripp into trouble due to Lake Tahoe incident
Under a photo of Jen Tyson he wrote:
- dosed Alexa Thomas with Tito’s provided by Tripp (specifically for Alexa)
- blue sequins from mermaid costume top found in Alexa’s feather dress & in spring water
- told Alexa she would help her to get video (Seb & Tripp) that Ryan had seen
- told Tally she would cross-up Alexa (knew Tripp would get into trouble because of video; Lake Tahoe incident)
Under a photo of Tally Briggs he wrote:
- owed money to Tripp Hartman for cocaine/adderall?
- knew Alexa knew of video of Seb & Tripp; knew she was hoping to obtain video; knew video would bring trouble to Tripp
- crossed up Alexa with Jen Tyson as a favor to Tripp
- had Dash send photo proof of Alexa being dosed with the spiked Tito’s
- was doing cocaine at Tripp Hartman’s when everyone had left for IP — dosed Charlie Dagonet’s drink with alcohol when he came in — know he was on Antabuse?
- borrowed Carolina Parker’s trench coat (obtained when?), had 5th wolf mask in pocket
- shed sequins from dress at Cherry St stairs and below Presidio Wall at Cherry St
- diamond bracelet found in trench coat pocket
- sent texts to Jen Tyson suggesting she end her life
Under a photo of Tripp Hartman he wrote:
- orchestrated encounter at Lake Tahoe on July 4th where Alexa was being coerced — possibly due to a “virginity bet” that had been circulating (no concrete proof of this on Pr3pSF — just rumor); knew Alexa could create trouble for him at Xavier
- made 2 non-consenting sex videos at Lake Tahoe July 4th; one of Seb-Dash-Jen, one of himself and Seb
- sought out Ryan Dominguez during summer after Lake Tahoe, knew he was friends with Alexa
- had mother order wolf masks; had Vin Parisi, Tyler Shea, & Dash Reilly use them a the “wolf pack”with him to “scare” people at the party at IP
- father assaulted and threatened Ryan Dominguez at Halloween party; Alexa had photo evidence of encounter
- provided Tito’s bottles spiked with GHB to Jen Tyson, specifically for Alexa Thomas to “catch up”
“You seriously rearranged my board?” Jeannie asked at the back of the room. “I just did it this morning —”
“I know. But I wanted all of this at-a-glance. Show me where the holes are before we talk to Tally.” Mark looked at her sheepishly. “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t worry about it — this is better.” Jeannie came forward and assessing his work. “Do you think we’ll get a chance to talk to Tripp Hartman?”
“I don’t know. If the father gets indicted by one of our friendly federal agencies, maybe we’d get a shot, but I don’t think that’s happening any time soon.” Mark sighed, leaning an arm on the frame of the board, looking it over. “I would say we have plenty to clear up with Tally Briggs, however.”
“So Dash is in line, and Jen has come clean — well, as clean as she can be.” Jeannie thought of the mixed up girl that was in a psychiatric hospital. “ So we can use them both against Tally.”
“That’s the idea.”
“And you think she’ll give up Tripp?”
