(a poem)

I’m going to be sharing more poetry here, and also short stories. As I wrote in this Note, what you put out into the world (online) is what people see you as. In my heart, I’m a poet, storyteller and artist. That’s my calling. And that’s who I want to be.

On the days

that feel heavy, like the thickened air before a storm, as you grapple for something to cling to, to help you move through it, or to make it bearable until it passes, remember this: the rain will come. And it might drop fast, with thunder and lightning, or slowly and gently. Either way, that heavy bulge hanging in the air will burst and the raindrops will soften the cracked dry earth and the air will feel lighter and fresher. But first, the rain must storm, and pass.

If you’d like to explore your work/life, where you’re at and where you’re headed, I’m running a very affordable coaching course through September called What do I want to do with my work/life? Creative coaching exercises, time to dream. Just £30. You can read more here.

I also have a big offer on a series of six coaching sessions. So, if you’d like deeper support, across six Zoom calls, spaced out to suit you, you might like to read more about that here. The Creative Way coaching is about centring your creativity, and turning it into a career.

Thank you for being here.
