The month that was, July'26

Greetings friends,

If you, like me – are also living in Melbourne, you will know that winter is well and truly upon us, and to state the absolute obvious…it is been cold. The days are feeling very short, very crisp, and I might be speaking for myself here but I am certainly hanging out for the temps to creep up a few notches on the thermometer so I can defrost, de-layer, and get back into my favourite outfit combo of jeans, flats that don’t require socks, and a tee. Life just feels easier in Spring, or better yet Summer, I am counting down the days.

Looking back, July was a pretty massive month, which is probably why I’ve felt the need to do a little check-in. There have been beautiful lunches and events, some exciting developments for TODO Studio, some big shoots that I cannot wait to share, and even a few little updates around our own home too. I’ve also purchased a couple of things here and there which I will also share, as well as some recommendations worth noting..

The month kicked off with a very aesthetic, very delicious mid-winter lunch at August West End in Brisbane for one of my favourite ceramic brands Soft Edge Studio to celebrate their new Mustard range. It was such a special event, and I felt incredibly lucky to be sitting amongst some VERY cool creatives who were all just doing fabulous things. Creative directors, chefs (Hey Julia!), photographers (Hey Lisa!), restaurant owners (Hey Dom!) and those wonderfully talented creative people who can’t quite explain what they do exactly, but you just know they’re working magic with whatever they do.

It was such a blast, and I felt genuinely honoured to be invited and had to really restrain myself from getting too out the gate as I had to responsibly drive myself back to my friends house after. Hard to restrain when you’re free of any parenting responsibilities I must say! In saying that, it really scratched my social itch whilst also being able to soak up the warmth of Brissy’s so called ‘winter’.

I figured while I was up north, I should take advantage of travelling without a toddler and stayed with my high school bestie, Lauren, in Bli Bli. Spending time with her reminded me just how much I miss her. She’s THAT FRIEND where you can simply
