Dear Friends,

This month at Everyday Ambassador, we’ve been exploring the role of listening in peace-building—decades of research among diplomats and border crossers of all kinds has convinced me of the power of this super-move.

Our monthly Salon brings together thoughtful people from across the globe to explore these themes together—to share our own experiences and learn practical approaches we can use in our own lives.

I’m so excited to share what we have planned for this month:

We’re honored to welcome new member David Liu, who will share his current creative project: a new translation of Dante’s Inferno — including reading from the translation itself. I’ve been thinking about translation as an act of deep listening — to the Italian, to eight centuries of interpreters, to the reader who will encounter it now. I’m genuinely curious what David has found in the act of listening closely to a text. What does Dante have to teach us about peace-building? Come and find out!

In just one fun evening a month and for only $250/year, our gatherings of courageously curious thinkers from across the world will give you renewed hope, energy, and fresh ideas.

As always, feel free to DM me for more info.
