common fibers twisted,

braided to a whole,

binding, spun to spool,

wrapped around finger,

through the eye of a needle,

running stitch of hem,

and red,

holding hearts together,

souls forever,

braids loosened,

tangled but always tethered,

thumb to finger,

running stitch of time

until i see you again.
