“To the author Anjuli Paschall” the email started.
“Due to a lack of demand, we are no longer printing Awake. It is being discontinued”
I didn’t know this happens. I didn't know books got discontinued by publishers. So, I was surprised to say the least.
What does this mean? My crazy brain considered buying every Awake book possible. I’d create my own little Awake library! Of course, I started to think about my non-existent grandchildren and great grandkids. I need books for them too.
I love this book. I cried and laughed writing it. I was up at all hours of the night wrestling with sentence structure, themes, and concepts. I told stories that changed my life. I wrote about God and His goodness.
But, with all things in life, there is an end. I just don’t like the word discontinued. It feels mean. Discontinued sounds like—expired, out of date, no longer needed. But I believe this message is profoundly necessary in our must-produce-more world. The stories and the miracles that this book holds wake up the soul to the profound gift of everyday moments.
I’m going to buy up a bunch of the remaining books because I will have a few dozen grandkids (obviously). But, if you don’ have my book, Awake, snag one before it’s no longer available.
Here is the book trailer and This book is For You IF (video). Ultimately, this book is a nudge for you to pay attention to the beautiful life you have been given. It is a battle cry to WAKE UP. I am so proud of this book and I know it will bless you (and your grandkids!).
Here is a link to get one or a dozen.
Awake—Paying attention to what matters most in a world that’s pulling you apart.
( I will forever love this cover!)
Have a beautiful say, sister!
Stay awake to love, always.
