Sarah Sadie ☀️ · An Inviting Space

Hello beautiful human,

On Mondays I share out some words from the Weavery, the protected space nestled at the heart of An Inviting Space.

Here’s my version of The Weavery, or one of them anyway. What’s yours? (It might be imaginary, too)

This week, I’m still wrapped in meditations and reflections, after a week of listening at the ILA Convention. What would it feel like if we started each week, each day, each project by listening?

I’ve posted a guided meditation, an audio link, at the bottom of this post. Scroll down to find it.

Welcome, Reader. I welcome new subscribers at any level. If you feel gratitude for this post and want to support me, you can Buy Me a Coffee (and leave a note! I love reading what people share! I try to respond to everyone).

It’s Monday, and no doubt your to-do list is as long as my own. I hope that we can carry an inviting space and spaciousness within, as we move through the day.

I believe our world needs new stories. what if those stories lie curled within us like seeds? This is An Inviting Space to experience where and how we might discover, recover and nurture the secret, magical gardens of soul day by day. Starting where we are, as we are.

I am not much of a visual artist myself but I am endlessly inspired by others. Especially sketchbooks and practice sheets. These shared images from Samantha Dion Baker are making me happy this morning!

Here’s where you can find me in the months coming up:

Thanks and thanks again to Monique Mulligan for her gracious interview! Having another person ask thoughtful questions is such a good way to stretch into new answers and observations. Monique’s Practice Session at our Space is here and outside the paywall for the month!

Around here, I’m in the Circle a couple of times a week. On Mondays, this invitation to the Weavery for a start-of-the-week meditation. On Wednesdays, we gather via zoom at the Well to strengthen our creative practices in community. Join the Circle here.

I will be in Missouri in early October, presenting a “playshop” experience with the wonderful Elizabeth Shepley at TLAN’s conference, The Power of Words.

November 13 The Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets is hosting my online workshop, “Three Questions and a Poem,” a workshop designed to ask the surprising question: What if poetry, and poetic modes of making, hold new possibilities for how we listen and what we listen for? Whatever answers we come up with, we’ll generate new material and new approaches to listening, for poets and non-poets alike.

Your support is welcome, and your attention and time are true gifts. Thank you.

and here’s that promised meditation from the Weavery…I’ll meet you there!
