Hey Indigoer,
I’ve had such mixed feelings about being back in NYC this past week. I wonder if this is how everyone feels who lives far from family. While I’m a quick flight from home, it just feels heavy not being there all the time. And yes, I just really freaking love my condo so much. She’s perfection in every way. There’s something really comforting about being in that space.
I’m back for just a few days though, because this week I’m heading out to the Hamptons to celebrate a friend’s birthday and get in lots of pool time and Mahjong. It’s really my first time staying in the Hamptons outside of a one-night visit I did two summers ago with a friend. We’ll be there for 5 whole days exploring the neighborhoods and trying lots of restaurants.
I’ll be sharing my packing list soon, as I plan to spend some time today trying on outfits and start getting my suitcase ready!

I popped into SKIMS while in Atlanta and randomly decided to try on their unlined bra. I have my t-shirt bra on lockdown, but I’m really in need of an unlined one. I tried the Fits Everybody Demi Unlined Bra and literally said out loud in the dressing room, “omg this feels amazing”. It felt like I was wearing nothing. Oh, and did I mention it’s only $48?
But wait. I popped back into the store to return something, and I asked them if they had any convertible bras for racer back tops. The one I have has seen better days and it’s really time to replace it. The sales associate pointed me to, you guessed it, the bra I just bought. I had no idea it had convertible straps. This $48 bra just became my favorite thing in my lingerie drawer.
This bra also comes in a t-shirt style, where it has a bit more lining to it versus the unlined, great for wearing under T-shirts and if you need a little more coverage.
I always have hard candies in my purse. Yes, I’m like an old lady. Deal with it. I usually have Fireballs and these guava candies that you probably have seen at the nail salon. But the ones I’m restocking and grabbing the big bucket this time, are these coffee ones. They have a smidge of caffeine in them, so maybe avoid them at night.
I’ve been reaching for these white Bermuda denim shorts more than I ever expected. And it has me ready to add a few more to my closet. A few styling tips — go slightly relaxed over super tailored, style with more fitted pieces on top, when in doubt, add a heel or strappy sandal.
These trouser ones are great for the office or dinner out
Classic oversized denim ones for a cool girl vibe
Always a fan of Pistola denim, these black wash ones can easily be dressed up or down
While flying home last week, I realized I did not bring a charger. And as someone who usually just scrolls while on an airplane, I realized, oh crap, I can’t. My day had started at 5:30am, and I ended up doing a layover through Greensboro to get home. Which meant, I just can not sit on my phone all day or I’ll be buying a stupid charger I do not need. So what did I do instead? I read.
I read half a book. Barely reached for my phone. And realized that yes, I am capable of just sitting and reading. The following day I even sat on the couch and finished said book. I just sat there… and READ. So note to self, I am actually capable of sitting down and reading a book even if it isn’t the best book I’ve ever read.
I finished The Villa and enjoyed it. Didn’t really love the twist, but it kept me reading to see where it was going.
I feel like each summer I reach for a fun nail color outside of my usual red and/or oranges. And this summer I think this Olive & June buttery slightly green yellow is going to be the winner. It’s color ‘Not Kale’ and I’m loving it.
Side note, if you want another fun color to try, I was obsessed with this blue color last year and may do my nails this color next.
