Another glowing review of "A Taste For Lunacy"

I submitted my horror thriller “A Taste for Lunacy” to the Stage 32 + Mammoth Pictures Search for New Blood Screenwriting Contest. As part of that, I asked for “coverage” which is essentially a top to bottom review and critique of my screenplay.

I’m proud to say that the story really stuck the landing, and it appears that the changes I made to the story, including the new twists included, the deletion of excessive dream sequences, tightening of the relationships, and fleshing out of primary and secondary characters really seemed to work well. For the most part, almost all of the critiques were about formatting, which I completely understand. Those corrections should take me a day or two max and then I can resubmit.

The first paragraph of the critique:

“"A Taste For Lunacy" is an insanely hypnotic thriller with a dusting of horror that succeeds on many levels. It has a well-executed protagonist that is as complicated as he is compromised, the world-building and atmosphere is top notch, and the plot does a great job of keeping the reader on their toes. Only a few issues need to be addressed to render the next draft as successful as possible. There are some minor character and dialogue improvements that could be made, but more importantly, the writer needs to address the formatting issues and streamline the scene direction in specific ways. More on that below.”

I am thankful for the opportunity to submit my work, but most thankful for the help that these professional screenwriters, producers, and folks that have been in the industry provide me on this journey to getting this feature produced.
