Today, we’re sharing the first glimpse of something we’ve been working towards for a long time.
Some of what you’re about to see is difficult to watch. But some stories need to be seen to be believed.
This is only the beginning.
On 1 September, we’ll reveal never-before-seen footage from inside British factory farms - and ask a question that could change the way we think about this entire industry:
What if factory farming isn’t just cruel - what if it’s illegal?
The evidence we’ve seen points to a system in fundamental conflict with the laws designed to protect animals. We believe the answer isn’t to paper over the cracks of a broken system, but to build something better. That’s why we’re asking the government to commit to ending factory farming by 2040.
Ending factory farming by 2040 is a bold ambition. It might even feel impossible. But the scale of the suffering, and the climate and nature crises we face demand that we think bigger. The need is too great, and the suffering too urgent, to settle for small changes.
Billions of animals are suffering inside intensive farming systems, while factory farming fuels the climate and nature crises that are already reshaping our present and future. Factory farming is failing animals, communities and the planet. We deserve better than this broken system.
We are calling on the Government to commit to ending factory farming by 2040 and create a fully funded roadmap for a just transition to a kinder, fairer and more sustainable food system. We’re asking you to sign the petition and join us in making it happen.
Exposing what happens behind closed doors is only the first step. Real change will take all of us working together.
Sign the petition. Share the trailer with three people you know. And follow Animal Rising so you don’t miss what comes next.

And if you can, please donate to power this campaign. A monthly gift makes it possible for us to expose what happens behind closed doors and fight for a future beyond factory farming.
It was difficult to keep quiet about this vital work for these last months, but we are proud and grateful to finally share it with you. Join us as we face down one of the most powerful industries on earth.
On 1 September, we begin.
In solidarity,
Animal Rising
