The white t-shirt is the piece everyone thinks is easy to buy, but it’s actually one of the hardest. Too thin and you are forever having to plan your underwear that works with it, too stiff and it never softens, too thick and it’s uncomfortable and you don’t want to wear it under anything and too bright and it looks like it came out of a multipack. I’ve been collecting the ones that actually earn their place for years now, so I thought it was time to put them side by side and tell you honestly why I love each and everyone of them.
A Word On Fit
I’m usually a size 10 top and 5’9. I tend to size up a touch across the bust if a tee runs fitted and would always go bigger than smaller.
My day-to-day, budget-friendly option, and the one I wear under jumpers and sweaters and the neckline gives a good pop. Washes and wears well, which is exactly what you want from a tee you’re not precious about.
I’m wearing a medium in this photo.
Shopping notes. The one to stock up on in multiples, I have in a large also.
