Welcome to Fresh From the Shelf, my weekly roundup of new releases. Every Tuesday, I'll share a selection of books hitting shelves that day—some I've already read, some I'm currently reading, and some I'm eagerly anticipating. Think of it as a peek into my reading life, complete with early impressions, recommendations, and a few bookish musings along the way. Be sure to share your own thoughts in the comments and let me know if there's a new release I should have on my radar!
I want to hold myself accountable for my reading, so here it is. I' haven’t read any of the books I posted about while on my vacation. I have every intention of reading them, but there it is. I’ll always be honest!
Hockey romances are all the rage right now and, so far this year, I haven’t read any that I can remember. This one looks like a fun read, so I figure I’ll jump into the hockey genre here, plus I’ve been meaning to try Lana Ferguson’s books for awhile.
I love Chanel Cleeton (although I’m way behind reading them- she’s one of the reasons behind my author goal this year!) I also love that she’s venturing out into magical realism. Plus- it takes place during the space race! Can’t wait to start it!
My three standout picks for this week are The Spy Keeper of Marseille by Roseanna M. White, Formula Zero by Meredith Landen, and Ungodly Rich by Katharine McGee.
These three couldn’t be more different (World War II fiction, race car romance, Greek Gods in contemporary America) but they all sound fantastic! I want to read them all!
I really want to read this one, but (all together now) I haven’t read the first one!
There are a few other books coming out today that I’ve got my eye on, but may wait on:
Every Reason to Stay by Lane Clarke
Love You More by Emily Giffin
Summer of Love by Kerri Maher
Until it Gets Real by Carolyn Brown
The Farewitch of Foxe Holler by Ella Pauley Goff
That’s what’s fresh from the shelf this week! Before you head back to your reading nook, pull up a chair and tell me what’s caught your eye. Which new releases are you most excited about, what are you currently reading, and what book should I be watching for next Tuesday? The best part of any bookish gathering is the conversation, so meet me in the comments.
Happy reading . . . always 📚🍰
