Angeline's Inn · Inn Style

Welcome to our substack! A new way to keep stay in touch—part love letter, part loyalty perks. Deals, delights, and what’s inspiring us now.

Hi friends—old and new,

We’re Alex Fida and Adam Bolton, the creative (and culinary) team behind Angeline’s Inn and House of Falconer. If you’re here, you’ve probably wandered through the halls of our country inn, stayed in a suite at our 1840s guesthouse-meets-art project, or just felt drawn to something a little more layered than your average weekend escape.

This is Inn Style—our new monthly Substack. It’s a love letter to the County, a backstage pass to the world we're building, and a new home for special offers, local tips, and seasonal inspiration.

From Alex, Creative Director
Spring always feels like an exercise in adaptive reuse—assessing what’s changed, the potential of what's possible, and how creativity can reanimate the space between the two. Like the German tradition of Lüften, it’s finally time to open the windows, let in the fresh air, and clear out old energy. We’re so lucky to live out this tradition through our hospitality—and this season, we can’t wait to share all of our fresh inspiration with you.

From Adam, GM & Chef
I’ve been in the kitchen all winter, testing, tasting, dreaming up menus—and counting the days until I can roll down the windows and hit the backroads to visit our incredible local farmers and producers. I’ve loved helping many of you book your escapes, reunions, and retreats—but I much prefer connecting in person, when we’re sharing food and stories onsite. I can’t wait to feed you all again soon.

So whether you’re a longtime friend or finding us for the first time—welcome.
We’re just getting started.

With love from Prince Edward County,
Alex + Adam

Meet Meredith of Plant (@plant_pec)
Now blooming in the Tuck Shop at Angeline’s Inn, Bloomfield

If you’ve strolled through the property lately, you may have noticed something quietly beautiful happening in the Tuck Shop. We’re thrilled to introduce Plant, a floral studio and farm stand operated by Meredith Plant—an inspiring local grower and creative spirit we’re so proud to host here at the Inn.

Plant was born from a desire to reconnect with the Earth.
All flowers offered are carefully grown from seed by Meredith on her farm right here in Bloomfield.

The ethos behind Plant is to act as a meditative practice. To stop, ground, and appreciate the beauty that nature offers us. We are not separate from nature, and flowers are a reminder of life’s temporal beauty.

Following these values encourages us to place more intention behind where we get our flowers. The goal is to move away from the disconnect of mass-produced florals and instead focus on seasonality, sustainability, and presence.

If you’re in the County this season, do yourself a favour: stop by the Tuck Shop, meet Meredith, and take home something beautiful, grounded, and grown with intention.

Some things age like a fine County pinot. This one? She’s retro, she’s bold, and she’s kind of iconic.

We recently dug up an old marketing proposal for Angeline’s, straight out of the 1980s. The fonts? Questionable. The buzzwords? Even better. But reading through it, something hit us: the idea of this place as “an escape for those in the know” has always been the vibe.

So, we ran with it. Check out our latest reel on @angelinesinn where we have a little fun bringing it all full circle. And while you’re at it—maybe think about booking your own County escape this season. Some things never go out of style.

It’s time to book a table (or three). Countylicious is here, running from April 5th to 28th, with prix-fixe menus from some of PEC’s best. If you needed an excuse to come down for a spring weekend, this is it.

Our pick? Flame + Smith. They’re doing a wood-fired three-course that’s as good as it sounds. Get the Dry-Aged Striploin. Thank us later.
