A few months back I announced that I was offering a creative writing retreat in Italy.
This retreat was something I envisioned back in December 2020 when I released STILL LIFE WITH SAINTS, Italian Adventures of Magical Spirit. I realized then how much calling in the muse was integral to writing my books and how stimulating it would be now to host and connect with other writers who want to do the same.
It has been twenty-five years and two jubilees since this Italian hilltown has called in my creative muse. I didn't arrive as a writer. Yet I have lived, loved and explored here. I’ve kept a photo-narrative blog and written two memoirs. I’ve been profiled and interviewed and reviewed. All about the town and its people and their still very traditional way of life. Another Italy as I’ve come to call it.
There are three to four stunning villas and wellness retreat locations in Southern Italy that are ready to host CALLING IN THE MUSE. Offering wild beaches or poolside and yoga. And of course the nourishing food. We hope to offer an intimate group two seasonal weeks per year; one in early summer and one in fall when the weather is divine and we can still enjoy her wild beauty.
Was it fear or love for me to make this leap? December 2025 marked the end of the second Jubilee. Twenty-five years is a lot of words. And I still have many stories to write. I am reaching out to find like minded women who would like to call in their creative muse in Italy, and so much more.
