“Am I too late?” I’ve heard my clients (and friends) say this more times than I can count.

Maybe you’ve had this thought while brushing your teeth or washing your face, feeling like you didn’t get enough done in the day. Or while you sit and listen to your kids fight for the hundredth time before breakfast.

“Did I miss my chance?”

The good news is: you didn’t.

And the better news is: you’re exactly where you should be.

Now, I know that can sound super cliche (cue the eye rolls), so I wanted to dive deep into this topic with my bestie Brooke Barnard (who is also the BEST at all things soul path). Similar to me, she’s an intuitive/energy healer with a background in finance, but where I’m a master with dark forces, she’s a master with soul-aligned businesses.

The conversation that unfolded felt less like an interview and more like two women circling a truth we’ve both lived (plus we had my membership ladies live, too). Listen to the podcast episode here.

And what Brooke shared? It completely reframes everything you think you know about purpose, timing, and why your life has looked the way it has.

Brooke was cleaning out old paperwork recently when she found a notebook from before her spiritual journey even began. Scribbled on at least ten different pages was essentially this: I want to work with driven people who want more for their life. Who want to hit their highest potential. Who want to get themselves out of the way so they can create the life they want.

That became 99% of her soul path.

And she had no idea at the time.

This is what I find so beautiful (and sometimes maddening) about soul paths. The clues are everywhere, but we’re so busy looking for some grand revelation that we miss them entirely.

I asked Brooke to break this down for anyone who’s heard “soul purpose” or “destiny” thrown around and still isn’t entirely sure what it means.

“Your soul path is your unique contribution to this world,” she explained. “Before you came here, your Higher Self created promises, commitments, contracts to change lives and raise the frequency of the planet. It’s like a massive puzzle—all the experiences, memories, people, obstacles you’d encounter—that only you can put together.”

Translation: You’re not special in that vague Instagram-affirmation way. You’re special in the “literally no one else on Earth can do what you’re here to do” way.

Which is either incredibly empowering or slightly terrifying, depending on your morning coffee intake.

The thing is, your soul path isn’t random. It’s precise. Your personality, your drive, your parents, the people who show up in your life, every contract…it all comes together to create something that’s never existed without you.

Here’s where Brooke told us a story that gave me full-body chills.

A client came in wanting to know her soul path and skill sets. Brooke asked, “Are you really musical?”

The woman said no.

But Brooke saw that her gift was reading sound frequency - hearing it, understanding it, using it to heal. Turns out, this woman had spent her entire career as a beautician to elite musicians. Like, the kind of musicians you’d know by name. She’d been absorbing this world without realizing her Higher Self had placed her there to develop this exact skill set.

“Oh my god,” the woman said. “Is that why with one particular client, I couldn’t handle it anymore and started listening to binary beats to bring my energy down?”

Yes. She’d been healing herself and unknowingly developing a gift she’d one day use to help others.

When I heard this, I remembered something. This same woman had told me she could never listen to a certain dark force “spiritual guru” because the sound in his audios felt wrong to her. At the time, she didn’t know anything about dark forces or energy manipulation, she just knew she was too sensitive to it.

Her gift was showing up even when she didn’t understand it yet.

This is what Brooke means when she talks about obstacles being training. “If one of your highest skill sets is relationships but you’ve been through divorce and can’t hold a relationship, you’re not bad at relationships - you’re meant to be a master. Your Higher Self wanted you to see both sides of the coin so you’d have the tools to help someone else.”

Every hard thing you’ve been through? It wasn’t punishment - it was preparation.

Okay, I need to address the biggest misconception because it’s probably holding you back right now:

If it’s your soul path, it should be easy.

Brooke shut this down immediately. “Just because you’re built for it doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. You’ve still got to develop those skill sets. You’re still living a human life.”

She shared her own story. In third grade, she was told she was dyslexic - couldn’t read or write well. Fast forward to today and communication is now one of her top mastery skill sets.

How? Her Higher Self nudged her into teaching, where she had to develop articulation through necessity. At University, what would take someone an hour took her six. She’d print research papers, cut out paragraphs, and glue them on paper in the order she wanted for her essays.

“Now when I look back,” she laughed, “I was never dyslexic. I was just being trained.”

The discomfort is the training.

The soul love comes after you lean into the discomfort, not before.

Here’s something Brooke said that stopped me mid-conversation: Developing unconditional self-love is the hidden key to walking your soul path.

“When you have unconditional self-love and put yourself first at all times, you will follow the heart pulls. You’ll follow the things that fill you up first.”

Because here’s the truth: you can’t change the world while managing everyone’s emotions. You can’t step into your power while playing small. You can’t fulfill your soul purpose while people-pleasing.

And if you have a fear of public speaking)? Your self-image probably isn’t where it needs to be because that fear isn’t about speaking…it’s about being judged and caring about caring what people think.

Getting your self-love and self-image into the high nineties (on a scale of 1-100) isn’t optional spiritual homework. It’s the foundation everything else is built on.

This is the part I needed Brooke to really drive home, because I know so many of you are sitting there thinking, “But I am behind. I should’ve started years ago.”

Brooke was emphatic: “You are not behind. You’re not meant to be any further ahead than where you are right here, right now. Because if you were, you couldn’t fulfill your soul path. You would’ve missed the key ingredients - the knowledge, the experiences - that are going to be the icing on the cake for your audience.”

Everything is in perfect timing.

That job you hated? It taught you something essential. That relationship that ended badly? It gave you tools. That certification you bought and never finished? It opened an energetic doorway that made you ready for what came next.

And here’s the kicker: once you’re in alignment and have the tools, then you can fast-track. But up until this moment? You’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

If you don’t have a Brooke in your life to read your energy field (and let’s be honest, most of us don’t), here’s how to start paying attention:

Look at what you can’t get enough of. What topics send you down research rabbit holes at 2am? What do people always come to you for advice about?

Examine what you’ve overcome. Your obstacles aren’t random. What tools did you develop? What do you understand now that only someone who’s been through that exact thing would get?

Notice what flows naturally. Not what you should do or what sounds impressive—what comes out of you without effort?

Pay attention to resistance. Public speaking? Leadership? Being visible? That resistance is probably pointing directly at your path.

Brooke’s advice? Pick one thing you love and go deep. Don’t get overwhelmed trying to master everything at once. Just obsess over one thing. The rest will reveal itself.

But if you’d like to find your unique skillsets, make sure you’re in my membership as we’ll have Brooke back in soon & one lucky member will get their unique skillset revealed. We’ll also share how to find yours and how to proceed with developing them into a mastery.

One more thing I want to address because I’ve lived this: just because you’re on your soul path doesn’t mean you should be making $50K in three months.

Actually, the opposite might be true.

When I launched my Dark Force program, it was $99. Now it’s $999. But there were essential steps along the way where I had to root into each level - energetically and physically - before I could hold the next one.

If I’d tried to launch at $999 without that foundation, it would’ve backfired or I wouldn’t have believed in it or I would’ve had limiting beliefs sabotaging everything.

Brooke confirmed this. “Every stage of the way, you’ve got to be able to hold the energetic and the physical. You can do as much energetic work as you want, but if the beliefs aren’t aligned, it won’t work.”

This is why people sometimes make money fast and then lose it…their Higher Self planned for them to learn a lesson.

Sustainable growth means taking those incremental steps and proving to yourself you can hold each level - building belief through results.

And honestly? It shouldn’t be about money when you’re talking soul path. The minute you make it about money, Brooke says, you’ll burn out. You’re putting energy into the wrong things.

But if you focus on changing more lives? That’s a completely different energetic platform.

As Brooke and I wrapped up our conversation, I kept thinking about that beautician surrounded by musicians, about Brooke’s old notebook, about all the puzzle pieces that only make sense when you look back.

Your soul path isn’t something you have to go find on a mountaintop or decode from the universe in some grand ceremony.

It’s already happening. You’re already on it.

The breadcrumbs are in the things you can’t stop thinking about. The obstacles you’ve overcome. The skills people don’t realize you have. The moment you stopped scrolling because something resonated so deeply you had to save it.

The question isn’t “What is my soul path?”

The question is: “Am I paying attention?”
