The Chronicles of the Crone Wars: Aftermath of the Geisha Lesson

Luisa left the meeting early. She was sitting outside on the deck of Martine’s house with her head in her hands. The Geisha presentation stunned her. For her whole life she thought of herself as unattractive and overweight. She believed she was someone who had to work harder to get love or be loved, and now she had learned the biggest secret of all that no one ever tells women:

Justine came outside and sat beside Luisa.

“What’s wrong?”

“No one ever told me this. My own mother worked so hard to please my father. I have only images of her cleaning the house and doing all the household chores, cooking the perfect meal, and then having to look beautiful for a husband who came home from work. He always seemed grumpy and uninterested. Now I know she needed more self-confidence and a quiet way to draw him out and listen.”

Justine paused before commenting. “Maybe. Etsuko’s first lesson was very impactful, but be careful, not everything is the same for everyone.”

“I know, Justine, but I now see a new level of power that no one ever taught me. Now that I am sixty two. I wonder if it is too late to find real love?”
